Garden

Well we picked our first cantaloupe today. The kids ate it right up. This is our first time trying to grow these and it came out pretty well. We did pick our first watermelon but it was not ready (our bad). We'll see how that works out. Here is Gabby with the melon. Syd decided that she did not want her photo taken since she and I had ridden bikes and she was tired.

Gabby's trip up to the top of Stone Mountain

Sitting on the mountain was pretty cool, it is a big old rock.

Gabby on top of Stone Mountain. Sweet Baby

This is Gabby waiting in line to take the tram up to the top of the mountain. Momma was not so excited about it and got introuble with the conductor for saying ah SH*#@ when we got close to the top- and the tram swayed. Just kidding on getting in trouble he thought it was funny.

Last Weeks of Summer

Family Biking. (Just for info. this is a parking lot and the girls rode without their helmets. Normally they ride with helmets. They wanted their photo with as they say pretty hair.

Summer is coming to a close pretty quickly. I go back to work next week and Gabby starts school July 31, The rest of the family is lucky they have till August 11th.

The girls are starting to get back into their routine. They started Karate last night. Gabby is in the little dragons class and Syd is in the big kids class. If they do well Syd will be an orange belt and Gabby a orange stripe by the end of August. Syd learned a jumping front kick yesterday. Gabby reviewed her yellow belt kicks and punches. But they were both excited to be back.

They are also starting Gymnastics in August. So they have their outside activities for the fall set up. Me I plan on working on my school work and finishing up my EDS by April.

Return from Auburn

Well the kids are back in Columbus and I am back in Snellville. Sydney has one more week of The Springer Opera House Drama Camp. Both girls had swimming lessons Monday which is great. Gabby is showing some swimming ability. I think she likes the water.
They got to go see the fireworks in Auburn on the 4th of July. On the 5th Sydney and I rode our bikes all over campus. The little kept up pretty well. We rode out to the new Swimming facility, the stadium, the tennis courts, Old frat row, and just about everywhere you could go on a bike. On Sunday we did it again. This time we were about to round Hailey Center when I heard my name, it was pretty funny because I left my glasses at the hotel and could not see who called it. It turned out to be Maria an Auburn Track Athlete that I went to school with. We were freshman together and lived on the same hall in dorm J. She looked great and one of her daughters was with her. Her husband is military and they are residing in Montgomery, but they are moving to Japan shortly. That was pretty cool. She got to meet Sydney who was riding with me. It was great seeing Maria after so long.
I got back Monday just in time to head off to class. Gabby and Syd are back in Columbus for the rest of the week. I have class tomorrow and Wednesday night so I have to hang out here. I do plan to do some motorcycle riding. Now if you are wondering why I am up so late. Sydney called a few ago she is having trouble sleeping and says she can't sleep because I am not there. I wish she could stay six and always want to be with me..
I did get home to a very healthy garden. I picked 12 tomatoes (I better find a home for some), a bunch of cucumbers, and two healty size yellow squash to pick. We now have watermelon I saw about three growing and about 7 of the other melons so we are having a very good garden year, except for the green sqash (Not doing so well).
Well I hope everyone is doing well and G has the camera so I will post photos at a later time.

The kids are away so Momma gets to play

Sydney is off at drama school and since I have school Sunday, Monday and Wednesday nights in Atlanta I had to stay behind. So Gabby joined her sister at Gigi and Papa's house. Not to sure if they are driving them crazy yet but we shall see. With the family away I get to do some things that I have not gotten to do. Eric took me out for a late birthday dinner. We went down to Atlantic Station and went to the Geisha House. It was a really cool experience. As you can see from the photos. Eric is my sushi buddy. Very quiet at home which is very unusual. Well by for now it is very boring around here with out the rug rats.
