Animal Sanctuary

If you are reading this and love animals. Please check out the link to the Hightower Farm animal Sanctuary. This place is run by friends of ours and they are great. They take in every animal that is stranded. Right now they have 7 puppies, bunch of dogs, cats, and some horses. These animals need homes. If you are in need of an animal please check out their site. If you are not and have a few extra dollars please think about donating to the Sanctuary. This is a non profit organization and Lindy is a great person and a true animal lover. Thanks for thinking and taking a look at the site. I also have it listed on my web sites on this blog as Friend's animal Sanctuary.

Syd and Gab's Garden Produce

..................................................................................We have come home to a very productive garden. Here are just a few of the things we picked. So if you live close expect some veggies. The tomatoes are plentiful but still a bit green. If you want some let us know. You sure can't buy zuchini in the stores like the ones the kids are holding. They are huge. The peppers are small but pretty good. The cucumbers are great. We are taking what you see in the photos to Keisha, Emma's family and the Groves since they took care of our dogs.

Finally home from vacation

Vacation was great the best one we have had. We went to Destin, Florida and then we went on to Orlando for three days. Gabriella got to go to Disney World for her first time and Sydney her second. We also took their cousin Katie who had never been before. We took over 290 photos so I will only attach a few for your viewing.
Overall Disney was very crowded but they had a great time. Sydney met her favorite princess Belle and Gabby met her's Cinderella. So they loved that. I on the other hand had a great time until I got heat issues and had to be taken to the Mickey medical area. Then G had three children to run around Disney with for 5 hours or so. Anyway here are a few of the photos from their trip. We would have taken more but I had the camera in my bag when I was in the medical area so we only have 290..... plus 9 videos. Oh well. It is great to be home.

Way to go South All-Stars

What a game tonight. The girls played very well. They won 20-12 or so. Sydney had two great hits and one out. Her best hit was runners on first and second. She hit it right up the middle and everyone was on. Way to go baby. Gabby was cheering her sister on as always. The team than had their end of the season party at our pool. They still play Tuesday night but we are on vacation and will miss the last game or two. So here are some photos from the party. As you can see from the photos all the kids had a blast all eleven showed up. After they swam they had pizza and lots of stuff. Than we gave out trophies and certificates and just as we were wrapping it up it started pouring so it ended kind of quick. The players gave all the dug out moms a certificate of appreciation. Nice way to end the season and some nice friends were made by all.

The Kids first Garden

The 2007 Reid Family Garden. The girls and I started our first Reid Family Garden back toward the end of April. We are now starting to see some results. We have made some fried green tomatoes but that is not for me. We now have some zucchini, small cucumbers, and a few small peppers. So dinner tonight is veggies from our garden. Can't much more healthy than that. They played in the little pool in the yard today than picked some veggies in their garden.

Tourn. Results

We all got up bright and early Sunday morning to be at the ball fields at 730 am. It was a 45-50 minute ride over. We played Mill Creek which is the team we lost to by 20 runs last time. On the bright side we only lost by 10 runs and the girls played very well. You do have to look at the fact that we had two teams to pick 11 players from and Mill Creek had seven teams to pick their 11 players from. Over all we did great and I was very proud of all of them. Sydney in particular not just because she is my rug rat but she hit 3 for 3 again. Just like her momma. As you can see from the photo she was not to happy with the lost. We play again this Friday night at 730 at Bethesda Park. This is a triple elimanation tourn. It runs into our vacation so we will be skipping out on the tourn. since vacation was planned before all-stars. Here is the link to our next tourn. We are the South Gwinnett team and we play North Gwinnett Red. The way it looks is if we beat them we play Grayson Tuesday night, if we loose we play Saturday afternoon. http://www.baabonline.com/

Way to go Sydney and South All-Stars

The South Gwinnett All-stars played today at 2pm at Bogan Park. It was a great game Sydney went three for three and caught all the balls hit to her. They whole team did great. We play again tomorrow, Sunday, June 10 @ 8am. (oh joy). So needless to say up am still up doing laundry and getting the uniforms and T-shirts for Gabby and G cleaned. The kids looke tired in the pics in the car because at the field it was 95 degrees. The dug out moms took great care of the kids by giving them water, a cool towel for their necks, and keeping them pepped up. The coached did a good job on the field keeping the kids moving. Over all it was a great game they beat Dacula Blue by about 6 runs. We also had our Junebug festival at church today the girls went for a little while this morning. Here are some pics.

End of tourn.

Even though we lost the tourn. We all watched the finals and had a good time. The kids played and performed for the camera. Sitting next to G is coach Tim's wife, Shelia. Their daughter is ELise and she is the other one in the south all-star shirt like Sydney. The other kids play for shiloh and Gabby is supporting her big sister. We play tonight at 730pm at Bogan Park against Grayson.

First Softball Tourn. is over

Well, the first tourn. is over. We played all right. The girls lost the first two games and that knocked us out of the tourn. But, on the bright side the team that was playing tonight for first place we beat in a practice game last Tuesday. So we are pretty good. The head coach and I sat down and watched the second to last game and made some changes to our game plan so we hope that will help. Sydney will be playing right center field and the other Sydnet left center field they are our best two outfielders. Anyway, this little ones can play some ball. It has come a long way since I was a child. The first game of the Mill Creek Tourn. is this Tuesday at 730pm at Bogan Park. If we win we play on the 8th at 6pm if we lose we play on the 9th at 2pm. Below are the directions if anyone wants to come and support the South All-Stars. They are a great bunch of girls.
