Sydney's Big Day

The whole family took a trip to Plains Georgia for the Plains Peanut Festival to see Sydney receive her award from President Jimmy Carter. What a honor. She got her award from him on stage than marched in the parade with a teacher from Magill. She than recieved a book that the President had signed. What a great honor for such a little girl. Her number one fan was there to support her and did with a cheer as she passed in the parade.

First Field Trip

Gabby got to go on her first field trip today. She went with her class to the petting zoo at the Gwinnett County Fair. She had a blast and learned all about animals and got to pet some. She also went to the doctor. SEE GAINED WEIGHT yea..... four pounds since May....

Syd's big day

We got the most fantastic news today. Syd entered the Peanut Festival post card contest through her school. She was notified today that she took 3rd place in the state of Georgia and will be recognized at the peanut festival this Saturday in Plains Georgia. She will get to meet and have her picture with President Jimmy Carter. He will also give her an autographed book. She will also get to march in the parade and be recognized in front of everyone at the parade. We are so proud of her. Photos will follow.
I have never met a president before and Syd gets to and she is only 5.
