Jr. Eagle Invitational

Yesterday, my track team went to the Jr. Eagle Invitational in West Jackson County. We had a total of 12 teams competing in 13 events. My team took 1st place with 99 points and taking first in the Discus, 100 meters, 400 metters, 1600 meters, long jump triple jump, 4x100 meter relay, not to mention all the second, third, fourth, and fifth place finishes that added to our points. I also had about a half dozen personal best times or throws. They did a great job. This meet I took 18 of the 51 girls I coach so great job. Sydney and Gabby did not get to go since they had softball practice and I would not let them miss it. With my track duties I will miss one practice and one game with the girls, but the other coaches can handle it..

The girls passed their yellow stripe belt tests today. They are now both Little Dragons yellow stripe...YEA they both broke the boards that you see in the photo. They had to break them with their hands to pass their test. Both did great. After their test we had our first softball practice. Their are 11 girls on the team. It should be fun. I will post their schedules if you want to come and check it out.

First week of school

Hey guys,

Been a busy week. I started my EDS this past week and found out just how much work a EDS/Doc would be. I wil survive... I HOPE. My first class is Higher Educational Law. Which is very interesting. My brother-in-law would like it. It is not bad just had to write about 10 pages of papers this week and read on 60 page chapter. No big (yea right)

anyway

The girls are testing for their yellow stripe belt on Thursday so please be thinking of them. It is their last Karate class till possibly fall. Softball starts this Thursday as well. There is only one team and Mr. Masters coached last year so he has it so I will be out of a coaching position (good and bad). The girls also have their dance recital coming up in May please try to keep your calendar clear if you want to come see them dance.

As you can see from the photos we went to a karate competition on Saturday. It was pretty neat. They had the one person demonstrations for awards and than the fighting competition. The girls are interested in doing it (or at least they are interested until they actually get kicked)
